Bully Free Strategies for School Yard Bullies of All Sizes
Stand up for Social Courage!™
Thank you, Brideport Elementary, Tualatin OR,
for your commitment to bully free schools!
What will it take to stop the headlines? A commitment to stand for Social Courage.
What will it take to stop bullying in our schools? How will we change the current culture and promote positive relationships where kids learn that caring is good and standing up for one another feels better than standing down? How will we teach the skills of Social Courage? A culture of Social Courage means that all of our kids will have a safe and peaceful learning environment where they can live up to their potential. Children are encouraged to report bullying, to be protected from bullying as well as to assume the proactive, self-aware role of a concerned school citizen. Support groups are formed and actively create awareness, instill self understanding, and promote a culture of inclusion. They are in place before the first signs of an issue arises.
